Welcome to the Gannets Website

The Gannets Diving Club began in 1996 when
Matt Adamson decided the time was right for him to
retire from competitive diving and pursue a career in
coaching. He started with two divers however this number
quickly grew and a new club was formed. After much
discussion the name Gannets was decided upon. A
Gannet is a sea bird renowned for its diving capabilities just
as the Gannets Divers are renowned for theirs.

Our divers are dedicated, enthusiastic and very supportive of each other and the parents are a friendly, hard working group who aim to assist the divers wherever possible. New divers and their families are always most welcome.

Nationals: 27th and 28th February and 1st of March

State Championships:  Great to see Gannets dominate at the recent Open State Championships, clean sweeping all individual springboard events and also winning the women's platform.  Lets hope this form continues into nationals.  Good luck to all those competing in Brisbane.

Level 2:  Congratulations to Nick Byron on achieving his Level 2 Coaching qualification.  It was a long process and included exams, assignments and an on site course in Brisbane.  I was told that Nicks work was of an extremely high standard.  Level 2, combined with Nick's diving experience makes him one of the most qualified coaches in the country.
